When a TV series gets canceled today, it's practically guaranteed that fans will organize a campaign online to save the show. Such campaigns are often Exhibit A in support of the argument that the Internet empowers the little guy and transforms passive audiences into an engaged public. But do these Net-based, grass-roots campaigns actually work? If every cancellation leads to another protest movement, how effective can the protest be?

Er zijn aparte Wonder Years-chat kanalen, mailinglijsten en uiteraard talloze sites met transcripten van alle afleveringen, diverse geluids- en filmfragmenten en soms ronduit idiote details met betrekking tot de serie. Je treft er freaks die met computerprogramma's grafische modellen maken die het huis van de familie Arnold in kaart brengen. Freaks die stad en land afreizen om foto's te nemen van alle locaties waar ooit gefilmd is.

En als je toch bij Writers Block bent, check dan het verhaal over de Ongepubliceerde literatuur van de jaren negentig.
